This honey garlic butter baked salmon delivers restaurant-quality flavor with a glossy, caramelized glaze that perfectly balances sweet honey with savory garlic undertones.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • 1 lemon, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels.
  3. Melt the butter in a small bowl, then whisk in honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard until smooth.
  4. Place the dried salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and brush the glaze generously over the top and sides.
  5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the salmon flakes easily and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  6. Remove from the oven and let rest for 2-3 minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with lemon slices.

Notes

  • For extra caramelization, broil the salmon for 1-2 minutes after baking.
  • Salmon continues cooking briefly after removal from the oven, so slightly underdone is better than overdone.
